Here's the link to the new computer that I'm getting for Christmas.

I'd really appreciate it if you could help.

Please be aware that there is NOT an operating system included with the $300 price. The PC does have a copy of Windows 7 currently installed so that I can show that it is in perfect working condition, but the serial number has not been entered, and the OS has not been registered. This means that you will have to obtain your own operating system for the system. If you do not feel comfortable installing Windows or Ubuntu on a computer by yourself, please let me know and I would be happy to do it for you for an additional $30 to cover my time. Linux is free, Windows 7 is $100, and Windows 8 is also $100 (in addition to the $30 installation fee).
well then

looks like you'll be needing an OS

Its fine but it doesn't include a registered operating system, as is typical with prebuilt low end gaming machines.

It's actually pretty bad.

I agree with Icy, Linux just isn't the gaming platform.

That's why wine was invented

upgrade the gpu to something along the lines of a 7770, get an OS, and then you have something decent
but as it stands it's ok, just not "great"

The GPU is definitely over the hill.

Any games you have pre-2011 should play fine on low-medium settings.

Its still not bad for the price.
