What do you think of this invention idea I have?

A annoying thing that happens while driving is people will try to talk while the music is blasted, and you are always having to turn it down. I had an idea to make it more convenient.

What if the car picks up the person talking, and the music automatically turns down to a certain volume (which could be adjusted) and when it can't hear anyone, it turns back up.

The only problem I've heard from people is if you're singing along, but I think you could probably turn it on and off, with possibly just a button. Therefore you don't go into settings all the time.

What do you guys think?

Or you could not listen to music at eardrum-shredding volumes when you want to talk to people.

most modern cars have volume controls on the steering wheel (hell my 98 lesabre has them) so it'd probably just be easier to change it with that

you'd also have to solve the problem of detecting when it's someone's voice and when it's just the music itself, after all you're turning down the music because it's louder than the person speaking so I don't see how their voice would be heard by the sensor over the song
