Author Topic: Wii U Day one hack with "Debug" menu, WTF.  (Read 811 times)

NeoGAF forums user "Trike" dun goofed while trying to exit the Miiverse on the first day of the console launch, pressed a button, and opened up a debug menu. It seems pretty normal, but then you look at the games discussion pages by devs.

What games do you see here? Metroid, Zombie,(Most likely ZombiU) The upcoming Wii Fit U, but wait, what's this?
YOSHI LAND/ISLAND U.
Okay, after that, lets keep going. Soul Hackers? Never heard of it. Resident evil? Cool. Look down one more, and what do you see?
FRICKING METAL GEAR SOLID.

Late.
But the guy that hacked it didn't have any bad intentions so it's all good.

i'm more excited about resident evil

But didn't the Metal Gear Solid series already come to a conclusion?

It could probably be some kind of remastered collection of the series.

Or a stuffty cash in (I'm hoping its a remastered collection though)

This is cool
But how do we know it isn't just Nintendo trolling us?

Wow. I want Yoshis Island U

hack wouldn't be the right term, what
and yeah, not that surprising frankly; the wii u was a little rushed, so it figures that they'd accidentally leave in some development functionality

there's still "technically" revengeance and also ground zeroes.
