Author Topic: Petiton for religious threads to be bannable.  (Read 5882 times)

So you're saying that you can prove to me that your religion, or any religion for that matter, is right?
You said nothing can be proven, not that no religion can be proven right.

Meh, I kind of agree, but disagree at the same time. People should be allowed to make them, and I think if you don't like it stay out of it. It's kinda sad the we have to come to this, because people can't just loving ignore something they dislike/disagree with. Honestly, if you don't like it, don't post in it.

It's sad we can't accept that everybody has there beliefs and opinions, I dont know why people go ape stuff when they see soembody's thread about religion because they don't agree with what they are talking about. These arguments can be avoided if you would simply ignore such posts that you don't agree with.

However, I do believe that if a post is deliberatly designed I start such an argument, its creator should be banned.

That's just my argument anyway.

all stereotypes are true though. thats why they are stereotypes.

what he's saying has some truth to it- there's no stereotype that isn't derived from some truth, though i don't think it's fair to say all stereotypes are true for everyone

I don't think petitions should be in Drama. Also, why do you care? No Seriously, why the forget do you care about people posting religious topics? If you were smart, you'd just IGNORE them.

i think anyone who attempts petitions should be banned.

I thought people would understand what I meant by 'proven'.

i think anyone who attempts petitions should be banned.
We should make a petition to ban anyone who makes them.

What the hell? A "stereotype" is a commonly believed statement that is usually judgmental and incorrect.

Why don't we just believe all Muslims are terrorists because the isolated Red Neck population of America told us so.

Double toast grand slam.

Religion wasn't suppost to be proven, it's a belief, you don't find evidence because there is none, it's simply what you choose your faith to be.

you're not getting this, are you?
where the forget do you think stereotypes come from?
someone didn't randomly go "hmm. jews are good with handling money."
they originate from someplace truthful. ALL stereotypes are based upon truth at their core level.

I think they tend to originate from one or two people of that group fitting the stereotype, so it's assumed everyone will.

stereotypes aren't good

but they sure are funny

truly hilarious

more than one or two
it has to be societally noticeable

Most people stereotype Muslims (who actually belong to a terrible, misogynistic, violent religion, but that's another story) as terrorists because the most prominent terrorist attack in America (9/11) was committed by a Muslim extremist organization.

Of course, if you were extending that stereotyping to other religions you would have to say that Christianity is violent and terrible because Riddler was Christian, Atheism is terrible because Stalin was an Atheist, etc., etc.
