i can't find any other programs that are free and work on a mac
never mind, there's sketchup i guess
i can kind of use sketchup but i don't have any idea if it's possible to take something in sketchup and make it into a vehicle

Yes, ShyGriff, try Milkshape 3D (What I use) or you can use Wings3D (it's pretty simple, just export to .obj format and import to blender and export from there.)
