it doesn't have as much range or damage as the G3 or FAL statistically anyway
plus i'm pretty sure the G3 is classified as an assault rifle leaving the FAL as the only battle rifle. that is, not counting the easter egg MK14.

but IRL G3 is a battle rifle and so is SCAR-H. scar h and G3A3 has same cartridge but scar h is better than G3A3 IRL. why dis.

they didn't go by real-life designations; also notice how although it's all squished the SCAR-H is meant to have a short barrel like the 10-inch barrel carbine variants

and by that standard you should've made a pdw section anyway and even if you didn't then put the PDR under carbines
