Author Topic: Half Life 2 won VGA's Game of the Decade  (Read 4182 times)

Neat. Certainly deserved.

Popularity =/= quality. Half Life 2 is amazingly designed with a great story. The whole series is iconic.

CoD's legacy is just fat teenagers shouting at each other online and eating cornchips in the dark.
forget you, cornchips are delicious.

I hope you realize that he was joking.

I hope you realize I honestly do not care.

I suddenly feel bad for never playing this game.

Same here. Never played HL2, played about 2 minutes of the first one though.

I hope you realize I honestly do not care.

You say you don't care because you know you screwed up.

No, I say I don't care because I honestly do not care.

I actually do think that CoD is a great game series. Because they ARE one of the best, they have managed to market themselves to everyone. Even though they get a bad rep, they are still fun.

Plus, the makers get lots of money for very little actual work. This is a douche move, but it's very, very smart.

lol its obv popular for a reason, people dont just buy 20 copies and sit on them. im not saying hl2 was bad, but honestly lol seems like a pretty biased rating to me.

or do you?
*plot twist*

but half life 2 was in 2004
its a new decade, it shouldnt have been eligible

I disagree. A game doesn't have to be the best to sell a lot. Marketing, exposure, social media-- lots of factors. And how is it biased just because you disagree with it lol?

Here is a topical brown townogy.

Justin Bieber is popular too. Very popular. Doesn't mean he should be at the Grammys.

Not of this decade derp.

problem is, only one game can win, not a series. How many CoDs have been released this decade?

well if you're getting technical, no game should have been eligible (for another 8 years), since there have only been 2 years this decade..

* I didn't actually watch the VGAs so I don't know if it was even for this decade

well obv its all a matter of opinion, but honestly why would you choose a game that has probably made like 10x less then like half of the other games out there as a game of the decade? 2000-2010 was full of great, new game releases. hl2 hardly seems like the logical choice lol.

pretty sure its last decade (could be wrong)
so like 4-5

well earned and well awarded

I hope you realize I honestly do not care.
ahahaha you're handicapped
