Author Topic: Working Rail-Road crossing  (Read 2735 times)

With the new 'deadly train' add-on out, I decided to make a small, operative railroad crossing.
It's based off of a standard Dutch mini-AHOB. One 'passing sequence' is 11 seconds, including everything.
Nothing too fancy, just:
  • Working lights
  • Boom-barriers
  • A bell
That's all though. Some pictures:

Set the max schedule limit to ~50 to be sure it works.

>use phydeoux's boom barrier
>use less events

>More requirements
>JVS is vastly inferior to blb/ordinary bricks
>Unrealistic

I keep reading this as Animal Crossing. :(

just an FYI the train is a bot

also might want to add that you need to increase your schedule limit for it to work

Didn't notice, I always have it set to 1000 :|

HA
It's not counterweighted in any way, and the booms of a standard AHOB weigh 75kg upwards.
You can't drive through them with a small sized car even if you wanted to.

Bump :(
if you haven't already you might need to update the save file because the Ui name was changed to Hazard Train

Its too small. Everything but the track should be a bit Bigger. The opening is too small for most vehicles, it would not fit on any normal road, and the brick guarders look bad at that size. It works as crosswalk for pedestrians.
I understand it was a remake of a "mini" version, but Id like to see a normal sized one.

Also, why include a specific colorset when the build only uses a few shades of grey, red, blue and brown?

What do you mean with this?

He's simply saying that it works best with Trueno's.

If you're talking about using default colorset, the shades to be found in this build are not available in the default colorset.

It's compatible with default, as Sleven said, but then the build slightly veers off in colors from the posted screenshots.
Also, yeah, the mini-AHOB's are only made for dirt roads as a replacement to AKI-crossings, which were originally meant for either pedestrians or farmers with cattle.
