The forget is with everyone always complaining about how much Roman calls Niko? I've owned this game for the 360, PS3 and PC, played through the story multiple times, and I only get a call from a friend every couple of days or so. This is including all of them, every once and a while the call will be from Roman.

There are some scripted instances where roman calls at the worst possible moments.

Are you talking about during certain missions? That happens with a few other friends as well. Like when you have Gracie, Little Jacob calls wanting to go to a strip club - Niko comments he's with a woman and it would be "inappropriate."

It's for comedic relief.

This. There's the part where little jacob calls while niko is driving the truck filled with explosives, roman calls when niko is flying the helicopter for the first time, and brucie calls at some point during a mission but I can't remember which
