Do you even know what you're talking about?
What do you mean?
The GT 540M is a laptop GPU and the GT 620 is a PC GPU, not to mention the 620 came after the 540M.

the 40M is a classification of the card, 5 being series
with two cards of close series you compare it by the class
in almost all cases, the performance decrease from it being mobile means it's one class back of the desktop version
yours would be comparable to a GT 530, so
30 > 20
your card is better

Oh, wow that's actually surprising.

Another question: is there a cheap card that can run max shaders very well?

Define "cheap"
Define "very well"

There are sites out there that list the benchmark scores of each card along with their price

I'm probably getting a new GPU in a couple of months or if I'm lucky on Christmas and I was wondering what settings this card could run:

benchmark scores

What benchmark score can run max shaders with little to no lag?

I've got a GTX660 and it runs shaders for me with 200+ fps.
I think the GT 640 can run shaders good. I'm not sure what your budget is though.
I looked up a GT 640 that seems like it can run better. Here's the link:

What setting of shaders?

Could you give me a link to that card?

I didn't get it from newegg, my entire computer came from ibuypower.
Here is a link for a search though: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007709&IsNodeId=1&Description=nvidia%20geforce%20gtx%20660%20ti&name=Desktop%20Graphics%20Cards&Order=BESTMATCH
Instead of the GTX 660TI I would recommend the AMD 7950. I asked about this on TomsHardware and many reviews said the 660TI were good but the 7950 is a bit better. Overall they are both VERY good cards, the GTX 660TI sometimes does better in some games and vice versa for the 7950. However the extra 1GB will help with Blocklands Shader feature, I purchased the 7950 over the GTX 550Ti.

This card comes with 3 games, Far Cry 3, Sleeping Dogs, and Hitman. Don't purchase the cards just because it comes with more games or a better game, but this just an extra accessory if you decide to go with the card.

Radeon HD 7750 runs shadows and shaders on max for me.
