Quote from ROBLOX forums:
Hi guys,

I am here to announce an exciting new hackathon! What you need to do?

1) Show that you can overlay your UI on top of Core UI.
2) Get Lvl7 access on a machine that is not yours through a game that you make.
3) Simulate button clicks through script.

What is the prize? 250+ USD. This will be sent to you through mail. To win - you need to be the FIRST person to report this particular exploit to me with completely detailed steps. You will get the prize only after I have confirmed that it is indeed legit. PM me for the full details or @Canavus on Twitter.

DISCLAIMER: Will only reply to people who actually have something to say.

Happy exploiting!

~Sorcus

I am a bit confused on what he's trying to say though.

Mmmm...

Im gonna create a troyan

Yep.

It's so odd to see the main website go through such big changes while the forum remains largely the same as 6 years ago.

They're offering money for someone to hack the GUI or some stuff.

Yep.
I think the forum has censors. "Trojan" is probably on the censor list because it's a brand of condom.

they know they have exploits but dont know what they are.

they are offering rewards for telling them how to hack themselves.

I would've told you guys but I am on an iPhone, it would be too difficult for me to copy everything word for word.

...any decent programming team wouldn't have exploits that simply.

yeah its a little embarrassing to have such huge holes in your game after this many years.

if it sounded more like an open invitation to try and find one, its not a horrible idea. but they seem to imply they need help fixing the known ones.

My friend told me they might be doing this because they want to implement in-game trading. Which I find risky. Look at what they are asking to make.

$250 to find an exploit... hell, you should be hired and placed as the lead programmer because the rest of the team is worse.

Oh loving god lol.
It's nice to know that the Roblox Development Team is completely incompetent of coding for them selves.

That's what I was thinking.
If badspot said "alright, a free key to anyone who helps fix a serious exploit" I don't think anyone would really have much to complain about.
If he said "alright, you can crash a server by typing a certan command, but we're not sure what it is, tell us and win a prize" that'd be different

Besides, Roblox script is SO restrictive and limited. Mostly cause it's hosted on their servers.
So that means, no perminat data, no interaction with the internet, no access to account information or data, etc. etc.
