people never use the sport rifle because why would you when it's pretty much a non-hitscan military sniper.
lies, used it back on rein's. military sniper has a lower range.

like you're going to be able to hit a moving target with it at that longer range.

well, it was easy enough to hit gliders coming at the base

well, it was easy enough to hit gliders coming at the base
because they're coming towards you?

I remember when I hosted a DM where people had to run around and find weapons, due to random spawning, knowledge of weapon and powerup locations, and due to player having to race to certain weapons, it turned out to be a lot of fun and seemed a bit fair, FYI the weapons were old, like the Mac-10, ephi's shotguns, kaje's minigun, etc.

As for buy able weapons I think they suit zombie servers more, heck in the non-BL game Killing Floor it works out pretty dam well, maybe perhaps someone should try that? Or on death you lose money like Counter Strike.

Oh and another thing:

People need to test their TDMs beforehand and listen to their player base so it can be fair, however as long as they don't take idiotic suggestions.

i wish i could model, i'd make the most generic looking weapons but really forget with what they do.

and i'd make a super-mania-minigun-boom thing

All I'm seeing now is TDMs. If I could host I'd host a loving bedroom freebuild or something.

TT2 argument:
The pistol's actually a really good weapon if you know how to use it. DO NOT charge full-speed at the enemy firing like there's no tomorrow. This is the best way to die. Pistols are good for ambushes - hide behind a corner and suddenly shoot them from behind before they know where you are. Chances are you will shoot them full of dead.

Also the assault rifle's incredibly more accurate than the battle rifle. I can snipe people with that thing.

Main topic:
Agreed. The buyable weapons system does need to be fixed, as well as the low creativity in maps.

I try to test my games before I release them publicly. No one seems to have an attention-span of over 3 seconds (equivalent to a goldfish) and can understand simple instructions. They also don't use resources to their maximum potential and basically reiterate the same style of play over and over.

I can clearly see why audiences are so satisified with the current games on BL; they require no thought, no skill, no further implications, no authenticity, no craftsmanship, no unity. Basically, a roll of the dice determines if you're going to have a rush killing everyone with an out-of-place OP weapon, or if you're going to spend your time on the server when you SHOULD be playing, instead complaining and losing until you leave the server - the cycle then thus repeats itself, over and over.

Finding decent play-testers is like waiting for a miracle to happen.

Now I think about it, a purchase system is basically like making a server Pay to Win

I completely support this topic

for like the hundredth time it's designed to be overused

lol yea. It's a winning concept, whatever these people say.

Now I think about it, a purchase system is basically like making a server Pay to Win
purchase with kills?

Whenever I host my TDM's CTF's or other stuff like that, I listen to what people think about it, what is good about it and how it could be improved.
