Author Topic: Tips on not getting banned  (Read 2014 times)

I've found the best way to avoid getting banned is to avoid threads where you think you'll post something that will get you banned.

...

I think that's the vaguest stuff I've ever typed.

I don't be an ass and I try not to act like an idiot. As such I haven't had a single drama except for when I first joined and I didn't know the ways of the forum, but that doesn't count.

When I do get involved in drama I try not to insult people

Yeah it was way out of the blue and unwarrented. I think I'm getting way too agressive with people.
yeah, that's something that will get you both unliked and banned.

my tip: don't tell cubelands to stop posting dumb, unwanted topics
because even if everyone agrees, someone will probably report you anyway

easy

be a nice guy
since i became a nice guy i haven't been banned for over a year

Have a bit of patience and try your best to be the more mature person of the conversation.

Also, don't quote Edgar Allen Poe.

if the thread you are in causes you to feel emotional do not post in it

Be popular. If you're not, even if you commit the same offense as someone else you're more eligible to get banned.

Don't act "too cool for the internet", such as:

"oh look at you poor nerds sitting in front of your computer, wasting your day in a forum. go lift."

I feel as though I was banned for a few dismissive posts.

And there was this one time when I posted the panda emoticon stretched to a ridiculous size :panda:
