Author Topic: Winter Break  (Read 1009 times)

So I just took my last final today, and my winter break begins. It's gonna be a nice 6 weeks off of doing absolutely whatever I want. Though the best part is I'm going to see The Hobbit tonight which I think is a good start to my break. I know there are some other college aged people on here so lets all discuss winter break and rub it in to those who still aren't in college yet.

I was in the hospital for 2 days so I'm doing work over winter break.

i got 1/3 of your break.
:c stupid high school

I get off school the week after next week and two weeks after that

Next week is my last one, and the situations are being closed (basically we do almost nothing 50% of the time).
I got 1/2 of your break :v

I get about 2 weeks. >:C

What happened?

On top of my break I get to roll around in my financial aid money, which is nice since none of it has to go towards tuition. Though I do need to buy like $200-$300 worth of books which sucks

loving stomach virus along with diabetes

Not trying to be a richard, but from the 10 years I've had diabetes I have only ever once been in the hospital once for anything related to diabetes. That was my fault because I was drinking and disregarded diabetes. You need to get yours under control or else its gonna really bite you in the ass

Regardless of what connotations you meant, you don't know the circumstances for which he had to go to the hospital.

So, yes, it makes you look like a richard.

Next week i have, then the two weeks and 1 day after that are off. (theres a conference that 1 day)+

Edit: 700th post. :)

Well I do know quite a bit about diabetes. He's said he had to be hospitalized quite a few times. Regardless of whatever else is going on with him he shouldn't be getting hospitalized for complications of diabetes. Considering he's still young, it's a pretty bad sign because it means the complications are going to come rather quickly if he doesn't get it under control. I take it you have a very minimal understanding of diabetes and you don't realize just how serious this could be.

I'll be going to New Mexico to do some skiing.

yeah it is really serious and devil isn't really trying to be a richard but trying to be nice. i agree i need help controlling it but to be honest it was a serious stomach virus and that coupled with the fact that i had a pretty high BG (456)made it worse. and we put in insulin when it was at 275 which was in the morning and it kept rising after that. eventually we kept putting in insulin, (even with a shot because we thought maybe the pump didn't work) but it didn't go down. i wasn't eating or drinking anything except water (which i kept throwing up btw) so eventually it got so bad i had to go to the hospital.
