Author Topic: Elementary school shooting. ~28 dead, 20 children, 6-7 teachers, 1 shooter  (Read 19781 times)

whether they did or not, they choose to do nothing. you dont even need a weapon to stop 1 guy, when you have 6 people around...

the survivors from the office already explained how it went down. they all sat there, likely with a thumb up their ass.
if anything i would say those adults all deserved to die. in fact, yes i do. not for being stupid and letting themselves die when they could have tried something, but for allowing the gunman to go further and kill 20 kids.
i would've tried, but i'm trying to say why carry a gun when it wouldn't make a difference?

Solve for this problem, GUNS are illegal, but bows(NOT CROSSBOWS)make killing a man 100% legal.

Lol, with current medical technology it would be difficult to kill people.

this wouldnt have happened if gun laws werent so strict.
more guns in the hands of everyone = less gun violence

yet hippies will use this as another example of how guns are bad.

>25 people die
>Rather talk about how gun laws are too strict.

Then again, if we had more strict gun laws the shooter would of probably not been able to get his hands on a gun.

Exactly.
People would have to stop being lazy starfishs with their guns and actually have some determination when killing a person.  Also they'd need some actual training, relatively speaking.

wow what is it with you people and wanting to control guns you can kill someone with a screwdriver

you can kill 25 people with a screwdriver?

Laws don't stop criminals from breaking them.

you can kill 25 people with a screwdriver?

does it matter? you can kill anyone with any object. banning something wont stop the violence.

you can kill 25 people with a piece of string you jerk

Alright, well then, what if...WE BLEW UP DC!
Best way to solve a problem 2012.

does it matter? you can kill anyone with any object. banning something wont stop the violence.

Would you rather go up against someone with at bat at 20 feet away or a person with a gun from 20 feet away?

Loosening gun restrictions wont solve the problem either.

The death toll is 28, 20 children shot dead, 2 children died in hospital, and the rest included teachers, faculty, and the shooter. I live in Fairfield, Connecticut and this only happened 20 minutes from my house. I had a hard time getting through the rest of the school day with my head wrapped around the fact that my youngest brother is still in Elementary school here :( Our school also has students from that district that went there for primary school. All I can say is that I love my brother so much <3 I just wish stuff like this didn't have to happen close to the holidays :(

having a gun dosnt make you a murderer. and the real murderers dont need to follow laws to have and use a gun.

so your entire logic is wrong.
I wasn't saying that everyone carrying a gun is automatically a murderer.
And i know that real murderers get their guns and stuff whatever the laws are anyway.

But really, if you start giving people guns to protect themselves, you are basically making it easier for the wrong people to get their hands on the weapons as well.
Right?
Of course, banning weapons won't completely solve the whole problem.
The crazy people that wants to forget up everyone's day will get their weaponry anyhow.

People already get paranoid because of such news, giving them guns too may eventually result in people shooting just because they suspected the other might shoot them.
Of course, not everyone is paranoid and not even all paranoids would shoot people out of suspicion, but it are things to be considered.

Do you want to make it easier to people to get themselves armed just so they can defend themselves (but perhaps giving more chance to crimes involving guns)?
Of course, the crime rate doesn't have to rise up immediately when you give everyone a gun, but it's a though decision and i personally stay on the side that would rather see something like they have in Europe (no weapons for those without gun license and all) then seeing something like America, where practically everyone is allowed to carry a gun out of self protection.

My example of Africa and the such are an example of how guns could make things worse.
Everyone there, including children, hired/slaved/whatever by armies or not, who can carry a gun, carries a gun.
You hear of a lot of criminal activity there involving guns, might be how the media focuses on things, but as far as i know, things are really bad there.

Really, fighting fire with fire is not always the solution.
Because that is what your idea is.
You wanna give people guns, so they can shoot people who will most likely shoot them.

This is a message to parents to never take their kids for granted, because, unfortunately, many of them do. They say "oh! nobody would hurt a little child!", but this shows that's all wrong.
