iPod Help

I'm taking apart my sisters iPod to try to fix her completely mangled screen. I got out the screen and all the shards of glass, but one ribbon connector won't come loose and looks as if it is installed upside down. Can anyone help me with this?

ps: glass splinters hurt

Well you're being incredibly vague with this topic. There are a couple different types of iPod and one ribbon connector isn't helping either.
