Everyone always thinks that off-topic is going down the stuffter, but it's never really changed. The fads and whatnot ebb and flow, and the content really circulates from completely imbecilic crap, to genuine content, to stuff about people's real lives, to interests almost like subreddits in topic form, etc...

I agree, but I also think the game topics are far more incessant when they surface. Simply because when one pops up, dozens pop up in the weeks following and they all suck.
