A Halo, Valhalla varient!

Ok not really. First off before anyone gets to saying "This isn't the Valhalla Map!" I'd like to say I KNOW! I know what valhalla map looks like, but i felt like making my own stuff today thank you.

Next I'd like you to take a look at these pictures below [UPDATED]







Nice right? kinda valhalla-ish, maybe. ANYWAYS, this is just the Terrain as is, with a couple baseplates where i'll put the main bases for Red and Blue ... i should probably switch the sides... nvm.

There isn't really any similarities, but I can understand that you may been inspired by Valhalla. However, I think you maybe should come up with your own cool name instead. :)

Which reminds me, the buildings will be mostly Default Bricks and other then things like wedges and weapons its gonna be a pretty easily releasable map :D

then again it captures the Halo: CE style pretty well as it stands now.

Its pretty good, not the best but pretty good. Id like to see those random hills, where you placed the four terrain triangles in a box, have a little bit more form. Maybe connect them all together or something?

I think you should work on creating a boundary that doesn't use giant block walls. I've always disliked those, even before they cast massive shadows over everything.

Yeah, I think it would look good if you just made each side connect with the land and make mountainous terrain, but it's easier said than done. I, personally, can never make anything really nice looking with terrain bricks because there are so many sizes and I'm always confused at what to use.

I'd love to but i'd have to expand the triangle boxes just to make it work out, since for some reason, we dont have multi angle boxes to work with :S maybe someone could make an addition to them? for all those weird angles we just dont have?

Cant host my self. Router here isn't mine in first place. BF3 guns? nice but i'd rather use the halo weapons pack. Vehicles is an issue, I believe Mongoose [ATV] and maybe a small jeep/humvee could get around easily but i dunno.

I'll try if i can keep it under 10,000-12,000 bricks

Just add some steeper, large-scale terrain as a simple mountain range, have the rivers wind into them, and add invisible colliding cubes where it makes sense to. Maybe change the color of the ground there. Where terrain alone doesn't look good, use a fence or a dam.

Try to make it obvious that it's a boundary while getting it to look like you're actually in a valley, not isolated in a box. That's a terrible look regardless of graphic setting.


And learn to take a critical suggestion instead of telling me to compromise my experience so you can keep your lazy-ass cube walls
