Author Topic: a mod for a few of the older aspects of blockland?  (Read 1679 times)

i really like what retail has done so far, but i have notices there are some cons aswell, they are very minor i thought a mod could be made to bring back certain things like, the editor wand (that being said the ability to stretch and resize bricks), the option to have a ingame currency and brick planting costing money (for RP), texture and letter paint can, and perhaps even the original character model option? some ideas i thought of, tell me what you guys think.

Bricks are no longer static shapes, I'm sorry for your loss.

Shouldn't this be in suggestions or something?

Currency would be good for dms.

That can be done with coding and will be efficiently eventable whenever VCE comes back.

You could get an editor wand if you would be willing to decrease the brick limit on your server to less than 50000.

If I recall correctly, players would be banned for using more than 10 bricks on an average server in v0002.

Well okay, I never played v0002 that much so I'm not quite sure about the limits.

only 10 bricks??
Don't you mean 1000

1000 bricks total in the server.
10 for each player and 800 for the admin.

Editor wand is impossible due to the way the brick system works. This is something that has been answered before the retail version was even released.
Ingame currency is extremely easy to do and has been done in many gamemodes
Texture and letter paints have been replaced by the printer. It was nice to be able to put any image an any brick, but I'm not sure it can be done anymore.
Alpha character model I believe has been released as an add-on. Or maybe that was just the beta player

For a while before retail came out (at least a year) 0002 was basically the only game I played and I played it nearly all day every day.
And I never saw this happen.

Yeah, it's mostly a joke on how many less bricks it can handle before it starts lagging and admins go on a rampage.
Though, it's not completely a joke.
There were a few bad servers that did this.
They didn't necessarily state it in the rules, but I was literally using 12 bricks and they were threatening to ban me for spamming.
