Ehh not really, if your 17 you most likely won't ever be getting type 1 diabetes.

I have a brother with Type 1.

This guy (he can be a richard a lot) was once running around and he just fainted in the snow. Turned out he had diabetes (not sure which type). I felt sad for him but he survived and he's still a richard

What age did you get diabetes?

What age did you get diabetes?

I was diagnosed when I was 8, so I've had it for 10 years now

i've had it for 13 years. :s

Diabetes yo! Type 2 is actually starting to be attributed to genetics over weight now though. So not everyone that has type 2 is fat either. But at least with type 2 you can manage it with dietary changes which seems a lot more convenient than having to completely control the insulin which sucks so much

forget.

my dad has type 2.

Just found out a few days ago that my mom has type 2.

this, my dad isnt particularly overweight, but as males in the family tend to have high blood pressure we have needed to watch our chloresterol intake and even have to take statins (although im an exception as I am quite fit and have good blood flow) also my grandad suffers from type 2.

I spent a whole week in the hospital when I was diagnosed. It wasn't too bad but I got a ton of legos because everyone felt bad. The hospital also had a nes which I played the forget out of.
