Author Topic: Opinion about gun control?  (Read 20794 times)

This just proved what I thought all along.

You people have absolutly no loving clue what an assault weapon is and are just repeating what you hear.

Assault Weapons is a loving handicapped category of weapons that only exists to sound menacing.

they could all fit under some other category.

Yes, because gun control didn't work in Australia or Japan. Not at all.

The whole thing about the Wild West style gun defense is that it's not very effective. If a robber pops into your store and fires a few bullets, and you've got a gun in your handbag, what do you do?

1. Try to pull out the gun. Robber sees you and you get shot.
2. You pull the gun out without him seeing and then aim poorly. You could kill another customer and then get shot
3. You whip the gun out faster then the robber can react and put a bullet through his brain.

I know everyone thinks they'd be brave and fast in that situation, because Call of Duty is as real as the situation above. But it's not. Giving everyone guns does more damage then good. You then require more guns to defend yourself from those guns, and so on. The hillbillies get their gun boners and gun manufacturers get their money. But people lose. Just take a look at that chart by aph. Do more guns correlate with less crime? Under gun owner logic, the US should be crime-free.

seriously
if you try hard enough you could go out and buy a god damn 50 caliber sniper rifle out the back of someone's car

they are sold in most gun stores. though a normal gun license isnt enough, but they are available.

Don't change laws out of emotion.

Nobody hears about any gun-related murders in countries with strict gun laws because they were prevented by the strict gun laws.

I know that if they can't get a gun, they can't kill 20 people in under 20 minutes.

We are not talking about bombs, we are talking about guns. You can make a bomb discussion if you like, though.

Criminals don't respect gun laws?

Guns are literally THE easiest illegal weapon to obtain. Easier than many drugs.
