it was ben just look at that face,

would you trust that face?

Putting up a dam around the server still leaves the room flooded and the path to the server impassable.
Nah, SoftLayer will sell you DDoS guard for not much these days, their automated deployment infrastructure makes it such a breeze to buy and utilise too. Normally a DC will null route an IP, rarely will they take steps to mitigate an attack without prior consent and billing permission.

Not exactly sure what you're saying no to, I was responding to people talking about a nonsensical software filter. You're probably saying that because you try so hard at every opportunity to correct anything I say, but you always fail so hard.

Putting a dam up (DDoS guard) does not leave the path (connection) impassable.

DDoS is sad as forget, hope whoever did it gets found out and revoked.

No I mean a blocking program that blocks DDOS attacks.

Feel free to say how it's actually done, but don't call me wrong on something that wasn't wrong.

Like your router has a blocking program, and whenever your connected to that network, and you have a antivirus that tells you that your router was almost attacked but blocked a DDOS. Im not sure if this is entirely possible, its just a guess.

It's not a virus, you can't 'patch' it.

I survived along with 11 other people.

One thing I don't understand is the utter lack of prevention of the simplest flood attacks.
