It's an "all-day" event guys. Don't get your hopes up so soon.
My theory; N korea's missile fires an earth-shattering nuke right on top of USA and it almost instantaneously fries all of America. This would leave the entire western himi-sphere alone. Aka China/ N Korea/ Russia and all communist satellites.
Now if this WAS the case, why wouldn't an
Iron Dome defend us? In terms of an ICBM originating from possibly the exosphere, would be moving pretty damn fast, speaking strictly scientifically. But if they got this far, there would have had to be at LEAST a second stage to the rocket/missile.
It's a flawed idea but hey, anythings possible
