See for yourself.  I'm disappoint, Google.  I was really hoping there would at least be a "last day of the Mayan calendar" doodle.

Why the forget would Google spend time on making a picture for stuff? People might get scared and then sue Google for Self Deletes related to people pusillanimous individual out of the apocalypse.

Well it wouldn't have to be an all-out apocalypse doodle, just something relating to the Mayan calendar.  Besides, Google has honored some pretty minor or obscure events in the past, so why not make a doodle for the day everyone has been talking about for years now?

Probably because they have a ribbon that says they are remembering those lost in the elementary school shooting, and it would be in poor taste to joke about the end of the world on the same page.
