Author Topic: Blockland randomly crashes when...  (Read 2133 times)

1)  Trying to host.

I enable a few Add-Ons, not very many.  When trying to host, it passes through the stages, "Loading Add-Ons," "Loading Music," "Connecting to Host" and then as soon as it reaches "Connection Accepted," it crashes Blockland Immediately.

2)  Loading the "Join a Game" Menu.

This is much more rare, but occasionally when loading the "Join a Game" menu, Blockland crashes.

BlocklandLauncher.exe and Blockland.exe are both allowed full access through the firewall.  The server is ported to 28031 on a 32-player server.  I repeat, I am using few Add-Ons.  My thoughts are that Blockland is being overloaded memory-wise, if that is even possible.  I haven't encountered this before.

This is the console.log with trace(1); activated:
console.log

Also, it sometimes crashes when in the "Loading Add-Ons" and "Loading Music" stage.

Bump.  Anyone have any input?

Can you run the freebuild game mode?

Bump...  Anyone have any ideas?  I'll probably just reinstall.

Bumping because of this.

Please rename your add-ons folder to "Add-Ons OLD". Then start Blockland and see if you continue to crash.

I've never heard of this method.  Will try.

Wait, wil I have to redownload all old Add-Ons, because transferring has been proven a bad idea.

We are simply testing to see whether the problem was caused by an add-on or not. Just do what I said and see if it works.

It worked until I added a moderate amount of Add-Ons.

One of the add-ons that you added is causing the problem. Remove all of them again, and then add them one-by-one until the problem happens again. Make sure you tell us what the add-on is.

Add-Ons folder is about 245 MB.

I'm just going to remove a crapton of Add-Ons I think are fishy and those that I will likely never use.

Worked once.  Will try more.
