Your little cult doesn't become popular and you become broke from lack of tithes therefore getting a real job

What I don't like about religion is the fact that people are so unprepared in life because they prepare too much for death (heaven). People spend their lives around praying and worship so much, what about their other aspects of life? God gives people life and they spend it looking forward to death. That seems upside-down to me! Also people involved in religion use their saviors as a scapegoat! We saw that a lot back in the days where your sins were absolved in the snap of the fingers. Killed someone and raped their wife? I am heartily sorry for what I've done and confess to all my sins...BAM ABSOLVED. That is obviously toned down but you can see remenants of it today!

Just my opinion.

My only problem with religion.

Separation between the religious and the non-religious. I have religious friends, but they prefer other religious friends, and for the most part, will not have any kind of relationship with someone not believing in what they believe in.

Well

People tend to be more comfortable with others who share their beliefs. I have friends who are both religious and non-religious. On a friend level, most Christians in my area are fine. However, it would be pretty difficult if you wanted to date a girl who was religious (assuming you aren't religious), because the general idea is that you date to find someone to marry, and it is strongly advised to marry another Christian.

That to me, doesn't explain why it matters.
You speak of "comfort" and "advise" but all that really points to is the kind of society we have, not something actually logical.

I lean towards Christianity mostly due to family but a little out of choice, but at the same time I'm still heavily agnostic.
Also, you got killed in the first spiderman movie, shush.
I like how you didn't actually give reason to stuff all (eg. good job explaining why you put inconsistencies twice, except for the part where you didn't explain it at all actually) and just add "irony" when clearly you just tried to think up anything you could to make the con list look bigger even though they arent even cons, I mean "you have to sit still and be quite in church" what the forget has that got to do with christianity being false or whatever? Nothing, you are just really ignorant and are trying to put down a religion you clearly don't know a lot about, like saying "who understands the bible" a lot of people do, if nobody understood it then people wouldn't be able to follow it smartass.
And I'm not even religious.

PROS
It brings people in a community together
It promotes kindness (within' said religion)
It 'prevents' inappropriate behavior (i.e. swearing, manslaughter*, etc)

Thousands of years isn't exactly quickly lol.

For instance the huffington post link provides things the bible abolishes. Like bowl cuts., I mean "you have to sit still and be quiet* in church" what the forget has that got to do with christianity being false or whatever?I haven't been argueing over falsehood. I've been portraying my opinion on the publicized Christian faith and how I view it in my personal life. The links I provided are all various websites I've looked at over years that have further extended my thinking. Nothing, you are just really ignorant and are trying to put down a religion you clearly don't know a lot about for the most part right. I don't know a lot about it. Ignorant, in terms of the religion, yes. Ignorant in terms of "putting down a religion"? This is entirely my opinionated view, I'm not nor have I motioned that Christianity is stupid / 'bad, like saying "who understands the bible" a lot of people dochurch officials I can see. The average church goer? No. I went to church and studied the bible for 11 years since I was 4, that's until I was 15. I hardly understand it, and maybe im a fool for it, but I would bet majority of the people who go to a church can quote the bible, let alone tell you what testament an exert is from., if nobody understood it then people wouldn't be able to follow it smartass. every church I have ever been to, the pastor has always read for the bible and explaine what it meant. That's one man. A church can contain hundreds, possibly thousands. Of 100 church-goers I could probably count on my hands the ammount that understand the bible. FULLY understand the bible, not just be able to quote one or two chapters.
And I'm not even religious. don't worry, I hadn't assumed you were.

I don't see why you quoted that particular quote.

Jesus Christ was an actual person as there are roman records of his birth and execution, as for what he did, that's all bullstuff because he tricked some desert people.

<Assuming all christians are like the WBC.

<Assuming all christians are like the WBC.
actually it's not assuming that nor implying it
it's saying that those people exist in the first place

<Assuming all christians are like the WBC.
I would just end it all right then and there. It's bad enough there's a group of them, if it went into the millions... Too much stupid that isn't all within one nuke's radius.

WBC is handicapped anyway, we can all come to an agreement on that.
