Author Topic: I'm back from camping! -POST CAMPING STORIES-  (Read 1159 times)

So, I'm leaving on a camping trip tomorow morning. I'm going to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. I am going with my Boy Scout Troop tomorrow at 8 AM (that means waking up at 5:30 AM :c ).

This trip lasts from Dec. 27-Dec. 31. This is the time where I will be inactive. The things we do are fun.

So I will be inactive for a few days. Tomorrow I will update the topic.

While I'm gone, post your camping stories

I'm back and it was terrible. The snow was 1 1/2 feet tall and we could barely touch it. We were stuck in traffic for 3 hours on the way there and our cabin in which we always stay was taken. We had to stay in tents where our teams had to wake up once an hour to put wood into this small fireplace. We walked in the deep snow all day, and all my clothes were wet. If I dressed a little bit lighter I would have had frostbite or something. It was that cold. Then we got our cabin back on the last day, and it was warm as hell. Now I'm back. I came home at around 3 PM but I posted now.
Oh and Happy New Year!

Try not to have a weird camp experience.

Touch 2 sticks together = fire

Last year I threw up on the bus ride there and I was called "Pukey". They stopped calling me that a few weeks ago

Get molested by the scout leader. Come out as gay in the middle of the camping. Molest other children. Molest the leader.

My camping experience w/ the boy scouts.
We were busy being boy scouts at a camp once, when our "genius" troop leader decides we should go on a night hike. Eventually, we got lost in the woods at night, with rocks and branches falling from trees left and right. The adults told us to stay somewhere for a minute and went ahead. We proceeded to hear the noises of  what sounded like a bullfrog on steroids. I was pretty much scared for my life, and when we got back to camp, it was a pretty awesome moment. Me and some other guys went on a hike to a mountain to eat jelly and wood glue sandwiches and we found out that if we had taken one turn at a fork or something, we could have gotten back to camp sooner. It was loving terrifying.

God damn lucky

You get snow :c

I am back :) Sorry for this bump, I didn't want to make another topic

Why would you camp in the winter? That sounds like a terrible idea.

I remember I camped on an island off of North Carolina two years ago. Luckily it was really windy or else the bugs would have made it hell. We cooked a can of beans over a fire and hunted down these odd crabs that came out of the sand at night. The only downside is you don't realize how hard sand is until you try to sleep on it.

when I went camping, we tested the cooking capabilities of slugs.

They acted like cooking oil.
