Author Topic: Possible Overping threat?  (Read 5043 times)

For some odd reason when I was on RTB this guy named paint said to ping a IP.
Heres a pic. As you see in the top left corner a guy pulled up a command saying to people to do in CMD.

Whos ip could this be? And also since he said "He deserves it" I think hes trying to crash someones server.
What is this anyway?

Also if you didnt see what he said here is what he said
"Paint: Hey everybody, search CMD in the windows bar, then opin it and type in "ping 96.41.246.10 -t - 65500" then leave the window open for about a hour"

OVERPING

NOT THE OVERPING

RUNNN

Well i didn't know what to call it.
._.

Anyone know what this is though?

well this guy is basically asking you to spam an IP.  a really crude and low-level form of DDoS.  an illegal activity.

Is it possible for his key to get revoked for that?

Is it possible for his key to get revoked for that?
Doubtful. Its only the person that actually does it's fault.

Is it possible for his key to get revoked for that?
probably not unless you're actually successful and you're taking down servers left and right.  a few people doing this, if the tool is even lucky, will barely affect a person who has a decent connection.

A DoS kiddie thinks RTB is his personal DDoS army. forget him.

OH GOD loving TERRORISTS!!

Pinging someone means a mere 32 bytes of data being sent to the IP of someone to test how long it takes to reach it.
It's not bad at all.
