Why are bullstuff Gallery threads allowed?

I don't understand
there are situations where someone has very obviously made a joke thread in Gallery. I don't think I should even have to mention this
and then there are times when someone makes a thread for some dumb stuff. like, for example, changing the amount of colors the game uses. less of a problem than my first complaint, but at the very least, they belong in General Discussion instead

it's really easy to tell the difference between a genuine thread and one of these, so it's not like it'd be hard to enforce. honestly, all it really takes is to look at the user who posted it

it's annoying, and I don't mean only threads intended to be funny; not sure why I used the word "joke"

i don't think the rules of gallery are as strict as you seem to think they are
