Author Topic: Computer randomly turns off  (Read 1835 times)

get a new power supply.

You see, if the PSU was the main factor of problems here, the computer should turn off when you start it up no matter what.  If you have a 965 and a Radeon 6xxx series, the computer shouldn't even be able to idle with a 220 watt PSU.

how does this look?
It's only a 72% efficiency rate, I would go with one above 80

I'm going to test it soon
and it actually says 80W ;~;
Oh I didn't see that before.  But I think that's for a different area of your computer.  If you look directly below it and to the right it says 220W.

It seems to manage...

I'm building a new computer, and this is the power-supply unit.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171037
Kind of overkill for what you have, but I really wanted to show it off. :3

looks cool!

could you link me to one that would be great, perfect for what I have and within that same pricerange?

Ugh, I hate shopping.  In fact I'm terrible at it.  I had a friend help me pick out the parts for that new computer.
Whatever.  He swears by CoolerMaster, so, yeah.

I have no idea if this is what you're looking for and I hate doing research. but:

You should probably double check if that would work with your current setup.
