dont go for a fast food place
the country club sounds nice though

This probably isn't very realistic but when I grow up I want to work for Media Molecule or some other games company.

Australiaaa

Where in Australia do you live? I'm visiting there this year :o
Mostly under my mom's business, but I've always wanted to go there and she said she would take me this year.

Still curious how much would be good for a first time job, Usher.
Not sure what to say for PR... 17, no job experience, boyscout, way too much community service to even cite, I've been to a few leadership training courses, I used to be a part of my town's youth council, no offenses / crimes, idk?

my acne would probably quadruple. I could never work at a fast food place and say I have any dignity left.
PROS OF WORKING AT COUNTRY CLUB
+ It's in a rich neighborhood = big tips
+ With time, I could easily shift around jobs, even end up working on the golf course as a caddy, meaning I could drive a golfcart around with concessions / music
+ I know most of the people that would be there
+ It would be a chance to meet very powerful, wealthy people, possibly future employers
CONS
-- I know most of the loving annoying snobby people that would be there
- I would start as a waiter
- I can only imagine the uniform requirements...
- I don't necessarily look like a millionaire's son. I have controllable acne, but even then, I would probably be judged. A lot.
- If I have to listen to recycled work out music in a work out facility OR violins all day in a restaurant, I will loving kill myself.

ehhhhhh

I thought you were going to talk about receiving a certain job for the first time...

I'm scared holy stuff forums help me what is all this nonsense. Make me feel better by posting about the first job you got and how horrible fun it was.

Got my first job several months before I turned 17.

Had to buy a suit and had someone help me construct a CV and a cover letter.

Was sickeningly nervous.

Fortunately it paid off. Worked as support for an events team in a medical organization. Was interesting, paid pretty well for a first job, probably because of the hours.

My only advice is to try and prepare for the interview but don't overdo it. Look up what questions are likely to be asked online, get an idea of what it'll be like that way. Ask for a glass of water if you can (they will give it to you, in most cases they'll already be one there) but don't guzzle it lol. Sip it, it'll make you less nervous.

Just because you applied at all these places doesn't mean they're hiring.

True. But still if you got an interview for the country club job that would be great, being a waiter in a place like that wouldn't be too bad

Meh, if he wants a job he has to be active in applying.

my sister has a lip ring, tongue ring, nose ring, and 4 piercings on each year.

I said "you do know that a resume ask if you have piercings?" and she's like, "nuh-uh"

She's a dumbass. Also, she's 19 and still dwells off my mom.

Again, true.

I have reached that time D:

I'm seriously scared

just like I'm afraid of working for money because of maybe not doing a good enough job and people not really being completely happy with my work and...

problems of perfectionism :/

I'd go for the country club for sure.
I need to get a job soon, hnnng. I'll probably go work at a local coffee shop or bakery. That'd be fun.

anyways, to calm you down, try to think, "hey, imagine all the steam games and computer parts I could buy if I have a job!"

Meh, if he wants a job he has to be active in applying.

I know, but he's picking out which job to take already. If you have no job experience it's slim pickings for a job.
