I feel like a better moderator selection should be placed, like applications or something. They are pretty much based off of the opinions of admins and that seems kind of silly. I mean with that logic an admin could make a good friend of his a moderator without realizing he is abusive and irresponsible.

That's entirely possible, which is why there is a chain of command moderators, admins, and super admins, with any admin capable of demoting any moderator.

You don't seem to realize my point. I meant the selecting moderators based off of opinions isn't a very good idea. That's like if the President of the United States was supposed to pick some of his friends to be in the government with him, it's a lot fairer if those people ran for office, or in this case applied. It is biased and according to the rules you have to "stand out to an admin" to become a moderator. The most responsible person in the world could be a man/woman of few words but some average Joe gets the power instead.

Banning a person simply because the admin doesn't like the victim on the forums is apparently okay because the admin is apparently your friend.

Bump because I just uncovered some information that will probably not be surprising in the slightest bit:

This server is moderated horridly. The moderators themselves do not even know the rules. I take back my proposition to set up a better system for moderator selection, because I would not want anyone to be disgraced by the fact that they are among the team of irresponsible monkeys known as this server's moderators. I will try to be as lenient as possible when saying these incompetent children do not deserve the slightest bit of authority. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood, but I'm sure anyone could see what I mean by simply joining the server for more than 10 minutes.

All right I was just kind of in a bad mood but my point still stands; this server has incompetent moderators.

Update: Just banned because I made a joke when he said to calm down.

In all seriousness, I am naturally critical and chances are I am not actually angry when I'm criticizing stuff. He apparently didn't understand the joke I was making so I was banned. That is understandable, because it could be taken as anger directed at the person if they did not understand the joke.

Like I said, it's obvious you didn't pay attention enough (or long enough) to realize it was a joke, and I can see how that came off as hostile. Just take my advice and recruit some better moderators, alright?
