Author Topic: The more I play Blockland, the slower it gets.  (Read 1405 times)

I've noticed this on every computer I have played Blockland on.

My view automatic distance gets lower and lower every week because for some reason, my Blockland keeps getting slower.

How does this happen?

(I know how to change view distance, ect.)

These pictures are just exaggeration of what really happened. (In other words, I just took two different screenshots today to show whats been happening since a couple months ago.

When I first started playing Blockland on this PC

Now

Why does this happen? I know it isn't because the brick count raised because I specifically remembering same brickcount on this one server without no lag. But now I get it all the time.

Also, my anti-aliasing was disabled right when it started to gradually get to its slowest stage (How Ironic)

I have noticed this except it affected my entire computer, I had done a file scan and it defragmented alot of files I noticed alot better speed. Defraging your files may help.

Yeah, this too.

Yeah, this too.
Then if Blockland and your computer are slowing down alot, then you should definetly try defragmenting your files.
It helped me.

What if we are running it on a Flashdrive?

Uhm, could you be a little more clear on that. Are you running Blockland with a flashdrive to improve speed? Or are you transferring files...?

Because Windows. I'm not even joking.

So I am guessing a Mac puts back the data after using it? Unlike Windows, which defragmentation is what puts the data back in it's actual place.

This has nothing to do with files.

Just to play it on two different computers without 2 downloads

Then just defragment them both if you use them both often.

it says it cant be defragmented

I'm pretty sure the whole point of defragmenting is to make HDD's work faster, and by that i mean arranging all the files so that the platter head has to physically move less space to get the information it needs. Since this is from a flash drive, there is no point to defragmenting flash drives because they have no moving parts, The information is manipulated at the same speed no matter where it is held.

Although I don't know much about this subject, correct me if I'm wrong.

Huh, strange, this never happened to me in my 4 years of playing BL.
