your socket and video card are both outdated

the 950 is entry level but i wouldn't call it outdated. it's last gen and there isn't even a 1050 to replace it yet lol

even if you right click desktop and go to Screen Resolution it won't let you adjust it?

No I haven't and its plugged into the gpu.

EDIT: Plugging it into my tv lets me select 1920x1080 but now once windows boots on my monitor nothing shows up and the monitor goes to sleep mode.

i also thought you were planning to draw too, that computer should be enough for that but i'd recommend a gpu powered program over a cpu one with that setup, it'll perform a little better

Mainly casual games. The most taxing games I'll be playing would be Gta V, Arma 2, Minecraft (I use a shader mod) and BeamNG.drive

I'll be fine if I'm not able to go full ultra on everything but having all the settings on medium - max would be Ideal though

please do, It seems it's happening to the majority of people with this card but there's a chance of it still now happening to you.

so far so good on my end. most intensive thing i've played for an extended period so far is overwatch and i've had no problems, driver version 368.39. i'll see if problems develop after using the card a bit longer, but it's lookin good for the time being
