INTEL MOTHER BOARD DOES NOT WORK WITH AMD CPU, IF YOUR BUYING AN AMD CPU BUY AN AMD MOTHERBOARD, IF YOUR BUYING INTEL THEN BUY INTEL MOBO.

sorry its just, I don't see how anyone, especially you, choose two different types of motherboard and CPU.

Its not possible to put an AMD CPU into an Intel socket. The latest Intel socket is LGA 1155.

Come on Brian, I knew about CPU sockets back when I was 10.
Good job you asked us about it first, you almost ended up wasting time and money there, you should probably read up on the way computers work before you attempt to put it together, preferably before you even order it

Use that monitor instead of the pcpartpicker one.

I'll be able to get you a computer that could run Blockland on max shaders. Just let me turn on my laptop.
Ok - please keep in mind my budget! Anywhere around $500 is good.

I would've loved to see his reaction when he realised what he'd done, if no-one had pointed it out  :cookieMonster:

how do you install an AMD CPU anyways? is it like installing an intel one?

Hey guys, if I put an old GT 9500 next to a built-in intel graphics card, both with 2 outputs, could I run 4 screens?

It looks like this and once you put it in you push a handle down

also pspstpsttttt brian, if this is your first build or something I would suggest watching this or this.

It's possible, however your onboard graphics might be automatically disabled when you've got a dedicated card in there. I'm not sure how you would re-enable them though

Your Intel HD Graphics will run 2 screens and your GT 9500 will run 2 screens but you cannot run both GPUs at the same time.

You can use the CPU purely for Physx if you want to, or you can but a bigger, better card in your PC and use the 9500 as a physx card.

I have watched more people building computers than in america
I also take apart and rebuild my downstairs computer on a daily basis.

I didn't know there were Intel and AMD mobos
jaskldfajkl why wasn't i told about this.

can anyone pick me out a good AMD mobo, I don't even know which ones are good :S
or should I just pick an Intel processor, which one is better cashvalue wise.

so what's then the best intel cpu for under $150.
The reason I was liking AMD is because their good processors aren't expensive.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514 looked like a nice AMD mobo.
