it's fine for what it is, you're going to have typical people screaming OGM IT SUCKS I HATE CHANGE but just ignore them. the new menu thing takes some getting used to but other than that I hear 8 is considerably faster than 7.
I've heard there are a few compatibility issues at the moment but they'll probably disappear quite soon

Lots of reviews I heard regarding steam either say it works perfectly, or it's completely broken and doesn't work at all. It's like a 50/50 lmao.

Steam works on Win8. I have no troubles using it, and noone I know has any troubles either.

There are some driver issues with windows 8 from what I've heard, but as long as you have nvidia which is on top of drivers there should be no problem.

AMD works as well... sometimes :P
I had a really strange problem yesterday. I was getting huge fps-drops after playing games for a while. I checked the temperatures, and it turned out the drops started when the GPU temperature reached approx. 68C. I then downloaded the latest AMD driver (some beta version), and now the problems are gone.

Would anyone mind explaining how the hell that worked?

My GPU has no issues playing games at 90c (note laptop and left 4 dead)

Unless you've got a power-house of a computer, I don't think watercooling is necessary.

I do. My dad built me a power-house of a computer as a birthday present last year.

This one is boss, it's not used to be just a CPU cooler, but it's also a RAM cooler

Yeah, I'm playing at stable 72C now, no frame drop whatsoever. But I find it weird that drivers can fix hardware "problems"

if you want to change your ram you get to allso remove your cpu cooler! yay!

clearly the best cpu cooler.

I'm probably going to sound stupid for asking, but. What does a TI version of a NVIDIA card mean?
