Georges is starting to piss me off. He's always asking if somethings good for the price and then when someone says no and gives him a more expensive card he says I can't afford it, dude, either save money for something better or shut up and buy the stuff card. Nothing for a $60-$80 price is going to be 'good'. Stop asking this over and over, you been doing this for what? 2-3 Weeks now?

a $100 GPU won't run Blockland on anywhere near max, a $60 GPU will be lucky to run shaders on low on anything above 10,000 bricks.

Not to mention it's already a third generation, soon to be fourth generation card
I'm sorry for quoting something from two pages ago but my 7750 (which was about $100) can run blockland on max at around 60 fps with a low brickcount. For higher brickcounts I just run on high which still looks and runs good.

Because almost nobody has actually answered my questions. I ask if a card is good for the price, and people show me one that I can't afford. So I ask again, and it happens again. I know I cannot get a good GPU for 60-70 dollars; I'm not asking for a good GPU, just a good one for the price. And once someone actually answers the questions I'm asking, instead of giving my a better card that I cannot afford, I will stop asking.

Sorry if I've annoyed you, but I need an answer to my questions, not to be told that I can get a better GPU for more money. :/

You guys (yola and glass) are overreacting quite a bit to georges. Sure he acts like a newbie, I can see where that can get annoying, but he's asking for a card to fit a certain budget. So what if it's a crappy pc, he has a $400 dollar budget and he wants to get his money's worth for it. My advice to him would be to spend enough money on headroom in this first build so that he can spend more in the future on a gpu upgrade. I would recommend a 6670 personally. Just to clarify: You guys are being richards for trashing him for wanting a cheap gpu, but I don't make any judgement on whether you trash him for posting repeatedly.

More advice for georges: If I were you, I would stop posting in this topic until you have your money sitting in your pocket, literally ready to order on the spot. Prices and components change fast, getting your build together ahead of time is actually a bad idea. Stop posting also includes not responding to this post, because even just saying "thanks" or "ok" makes you look dumb.

you're not gonna get fed what you want to hear, sorry.

Those cards are /not/ worth the money, it is so much more worth it to get a $100 7750.  That $60 card won't give you half the power of a $100 card, simple mathematics tells you that that means it is not worth the money, which everyone has told you.

Buy the piece of stuff, the brand model none of that matters, a $60 card is a $60 the difference between brands or Nvidia or AMD doesn't matter at that low of a price.  Buy one, get over it and realize you've made a stupid decision, or save your money and buy something worthwhile.

Those are your options

I never bashed him for not wanting to spend $200, I know people are on budgets, I work in a loving computer store lmao I see people on tighter budgets than that every day.  But I don't tell them they're getting a gaming PC either, I'm not gonna lie and say a card is worth $60 when it flat out isn't.

I don't have an issue with georges, he isnt doing anything wrong, he's just trying to narrow down his results to what he wants, the only issue with someone I have on this thread is occasionally yola and alyx vance.

because I tell you you're wrong?

Get over yourself and do research before you suggest things you know nothing about and it won't be an issue, or like I said, stop calling me out personally.  I'm not being a richard to Georges, but I'm not gonna treat him like a child and tell him what he wants to hear either

Yeah I mean jeez, Vortex and Glass seem to have a really short temper.

This.

If you're going to get a card get a good one, don't get a stuff one now and regret it later.

Anyway, what would be a good card to upgrade to from a 560 non ti? 200 dollar price limit at most.

What alternative is there? He's actually been quite precise in his budget, unlike some of you (just alyx, actually) who constantly change their budget. If he's only able to spend $60 on a gpu, the 6670 or the 630 is the best one he can get for that price point (I think the 6670 is better but I haven't compared it to the 630, so don't bother responding specifically to that). Sure he gets less for the dollar if he gets a less powerful card, but that doesn't make it a useless card. I'd like to see some proof to the contrary and "I work in a computer store" isn't really a valid excuse. Within the last week I've seen you be wrong on two separate things.

Specifically @yola, this isn't a personal attack on you. Quite a lot of the advice you give is useful, but saying that a cheap graphics card isn't worth it at all and blowing a fuse at georges, someone who clearly just doesn't know much about computers and wants some help, is very unhelpful for all involved parties. I don't want this to turn into a gigantic stufffest drama, I just want you and glass to be more tolerable towards people with a small budget.

Yea, I agree with this

This too

This.
Pretty much everything I told yola above applies to you too. You can have your opinion, but running someone out of a thread because of it is just useless. See: witch trials in massachusetts

I mentioned this before, he can get a good computer framework for now and upgrade his cheap GPU later if he so desires. Georges has been very consistent about how much he is willing to spend, and the benefit of having a computer is being able to use it. Is being able to play the games he loves for a year or so worth the debatable ~$20 of performance he didn't get? In my opinion, absolutely. In a year or more, he can decide that what he's got won't cut it, and he'll have enough money saved up to buy a good gpu.

@alyx specifically, you've actually done nothing wrong here. You have an opinion that I disagree with, but that's totally fine because you haven't persecuted anyone like glass and yola have done.

I would recommend a 7870, it's hovering somewhere around $185 for more performance than a 660

I respect you coming to me in this way rather than what most people do, I really do appreciate it.  I'll do better to not let my hot head get in the way anymore.

yep same problem here, I have no idea how to fix it or why it does this.

I have been given a solution. If you open the volume mixer, you have to turn up the volumes to their highest, then turn the headset volume knob down.

This was the advice from Turtle Beach Support. I hope it helps like it helped me.
