Skip the cooler.
Alright, thanks for all the help, yall!

Uhh, not unless you live in an oven. I would just hold off on the cooler. If you don't plan to overclock, there's no use for it and if you end up wanting it it's easy to order when you actually do.

As for your build, do you really need an 8-core cpu? It's good for futureproofing but if you don't do much for productivity (as in, videos, encoding, and other multithreaded applications) you really won't notice much of a difference
Hm, if this is the case I could take and drop my cooler off my rig, I don't really live in a oven but it can get up to 90 degrees in here during the summer.

The CPU I'm getting is also a quad core as well so that'll generate some heat.

During the winter and when I have my own room I keep it like 50 degrees so I know that won't be an issue. But I don't have a room, now of course theres a chance that this room won't be able to get too warm itself.

Hate to tell you but thats kinda rare, I mean you can try craigslist but thats about all. Or you can try to get a mini-laptop.

I did another revision in order to drop the price:

Hows that looking? Also, will it be able to run GTA IV at a good 50-60FPS on mid settings?

that motherboard is am3 am3+ and the processor is am2.

Yea, and its been that way since I first presented the rig to everyone. It still works with the mother board.

it's not going to work
look for either an am3+ processor or get a motherboard that supports am2

Well stuff, I took and looked at the actual page and they don't have compatible socket types..
Now I'm wondering as if the rig will work at all..

Any CPU suggestions that are still around that price and such?
Or Motherboard

oh stuff, my bad it supports am3 sorry bout that didn't read

I also looked it up and seen that AM3 works in AM3+

So, will it be able to run games farely well? Pretty much my main point in the PC

and yes
see if you can find a good 7770 or something

When you say 7770 you mean GPU right? I'm still not all too tech savy.

alyx, that build is not that good
spending money on an extra fancy cooler with such a low-build is just what
the cpu is outdated
the motherboard has horrible reviews
save up another 100
or if you really can't, i have compiled a build which i consider to be slightly better
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1zoad
but its 40 bucks more without rebates

You didn't read a single post I said did you.
1. I am not doing rebates
2. The limit is set, no exceptions

When I get back from school I'll switch out the MoBo with a better one.
