You don't need 1000 watts, especially if your budget is $450.

He already has it.

from what i got from him he is looking for cpu, gpu, mobo and ram for 450.

the mobo i want is almost 400 bucks. so stuffty prices.
but i require a very good one lol. i upgrade anything as needed, but mobos i never do, when that day comes its time to rebuild everything.

400 for a mobo is ridiculous. mine was 180 and its great

Heh, I got my mobo for $5.

CPU and motherboard combo at microcenter. It was supposed to be free, but whatevs.

400 is a little excessive... If you're looking for a high-end mobo I would say the price you're looking for is maybe $240-$320

Hard to figure out what's sarcasm when brian just asked the same thing
Skyrim is notoriously platform-limited. This means that it's probably the fault of his cpu, not his gpu, and I would say that skyrim is pretty unique in that respect. @redmoon, as far as actually fixing the problem you could try overclocking the cpu to see if it changes your performance at all. If it does, you could order an aftermarket cooler and and overclock further, or you could bite the bullet and upgrade to a 4670k or something similar

It could be possible that that is the case. I was simply basing it off of benchmarks I have seen. Though in his case I doubt it would be worth to change the cpu since all he is having issues on is Skyrim.

anyone know if an intel gma hd is better or worse than intel hd graphics 4000

they both suck but that is irrelevant

you cant even compare them, intel 4000 annihilates it
