So is the ram worth it? I haven't really found anything cheaper than http://www.ebuyer.com/342352-crucial-8gb-ddr3-1600mhz-ballistix-sport-memory-bls2cp4g3d1609ds1s00ceu (£54~, ebuyer has a 10% off all ballistix)

also is this mobo good http://www.micom.co.uk/gigabyte-ga-z87x-ud4h-motherboard?gclid=CJzwo_ynmrsCFWzItAodIVAAKg or can i go cheaper?

that is a great mobo, I have it myself. lovin it.

What is your budget for the build/RAM?

I'm thinking I got a fairly good CPU temp wise, I get idle temps of 23 degrees C. Is that good or just average?

Very good.

I idle at 26C I have a Hyper 212 Evo, but my room gets hot as hell so it doesn't get much cooler than this except for when I have my window open on a cool night.

I've been checking it just now, writing some word docs and browsing the forums, and it's around 19-20 degrees C. And that's with a stock cooler... :P
Edit: Ok, it gets up to 24 when I'm actually editing the document...

ram doesnt really matter
just get 8 gb of ram in 2 sticks of 4gb
as long as its 1600mhz or above it doesnt really matter

that is far from an intensive task for the cpu "hey guys I just walked up the stairs and im not tired! amazing!"

What is your budget for the build/RAM?
£800-£1000ish, would like to keep it as low as possible tho, nothing too extreme.

I've decided on i5 4670k and the mobo mentioned so far, still indecisive on RAM and CPU cooler and GPU, but I'm gonna be buying the parts over the course of a month or so

Ik, but my point is, I'm getting pretty good temps, even when not 100% idle.

browsing the web is pretty much idling for the cpu
post temps after playing a game for 1 hour
