Okay... what was the point of posting this?

Hey, my computer is having a problem

Recording 1080p with FRAPs is just fine. However, whenever I do playback, it seems to lag a lot. A lot more than when I recorded it. One thing I recorded had 30 FPS when I recorded, but when I played it back, it was extremely jittery and slow.
Has anyone had this problem happen to them? Because I don't know what could be causing this.
I monitored my CPU, and it didn't seem like anything was wrong.

Actually, when looking at some of these files again, some don't jitter. The only ones that do not jitter were recorded yesterday... I don't remember changing anything on my computer's settings.

I'm having troubles with a brand new monitor for my new computer that came in recently.

It's a LED monitor and i've been trying to turn it on and i've done everything the manuals and stuff said but all that's happening is that we'll turn it on (and yes the computer is on too) and it would say stuff like;

DVI: Scanning..
VGA: Scanning..

then the word "Scanning" would turn into red words that say "No signal" and the monitor goes into sleep mode. I've looked one the internet but couldn't find anything related to it, well, one thing but the one reply was "You should contact Support about this and.." and so on.
Are you sure your computer is outputting a signal? Did you try an old monitor with your new computer?

It's possible that the filesizes are too big for windows media player to handle, especially if they're uncompressed .avi from fraps. Try encoding them to mp4, then try playing them back again.

You may be using an external HDD. External HDD's have lower memory bandwidths and Fraps recordings have a very high bitrate.
If you are recording at 1080p you're looking at about 25 MB/s which is a lot to fit down a USB 2.0 bus.

If I plugged it into a USB 3.0 would it be a higher memory bandwidth and increase performance?

Depends if the drive is even USB 3.0 capable

Solved the problem. I had it plugged into a hub (which was also plugged into a USB 3.0 but I guess that was too much for it) and that was what was slowing it down. Plugged it into its own port and it seems to be working now. Thanks, guys!

Well plugging a 2.0 USB in a 3.0 port won't change anything. It'll run at the speed of the 2.0. And no plugging a 2.0 USB in a 3.0 port won't overpower it.

Ok guys, sorry about my lack of understand of what I am doing, but I have a question.

Is this worth the money, and will it at least run TF2 on higher - highest settings?

And how much upgrade capability is there here?
And is there any parts here that need upgrading immediately, or soon?

Once again, sorry for the constant questions, I just want to be sure I am getting a good deal, from people who actually know what they're doing. Thanks in advance.

Will that run TF2 on max settings? Yes.
What needs immediate upgrading is to add a GPU.
Also the RAM. It's at 1333MHz, an upgrade to 1600MHz should be done if you have the extra money after a GPU and mobo supports it. Otherwise don't bother.

Edit: Yeah mobo supports it and surprisingly well. It can do up to 2400(O.C.) wowe

What about these two, if someone doesn't mind?

Second one is better than both of those other two.

It's practically the same as the first one (other post) but instead of 4GB is has 8GB of RAM and instead of 500GB HDD it has a 1TB HDD. Good speed and cache too. Only downfall is that the case is uglier.

GPU help pls:
Current/new build -
Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case
PSU OCZ ZT 750w 80plus Bronze Full Modular.

I have 3 screens, 1 TV (1920x1080), and 2 BenQ G920WL monitors (1440x900). Won't be gaming on all 3 (because of resolution differences blabla) but am hoping to upgrade them in the sometime in the future and get some 1440p monitors or something.

Budget is around £400, would prefer something that I can crossfire/sli in the future if need be.
Thanks
Right so I have a choice between:

Gainward GTX780 Phantom GLH
EVGA GTX 780 Superclocked ACX
Palit GeForce GTX 780 Jetstream
OR one of the non-ref R9 290's (When they release in a week or so)

Which one would you guys recommend?

Is it okay to have two different brands of RAM in the same motherboard? Could they also have slightly different speeds?

They need to be the same speed, voltage and type(DDR). Otherwise kaput goes all of the sticks.
