i was thinking of getting the wd black 4tb hdd. its spendy but right now i dont have a backup storage drive lol x.x

can motherboards be bottlenecks for ssds?

Can someone help me with this build? The budget is $650.

I suck at low budget builds so if someone could help me get more for the money that would be great.

The following parts are from me and don't need to be changed. (Selling them to a friend for super low price)

Intel i5, ASUS P8Z77, Sapphire Radeon 7850 2GB, RAIDMAX 700W PSU, and the ASUS Wi-Fi Adapter.

Again I suck at low budget builds lol.

All I did was change the ram.  Yes it costs more but it's less money per gb.

I wont use the G.SKILL anymore because I had a history of DOA with them.

Not the motherboard as much as the SATA 6gb/s max transfer speed, but yes.

well I guess you've just had bad luck with them.  I'm currently using that exact ram and I can tell you it's great.

Whatever you decide on I'd reccommend at least 8 gigs.

This just appeared on my build:
Quote
The G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.
That something I should worry about?

as long as you run it at the recommended voltage.

Tbh 2133 isn't really necessary.  I can't tell the difference between it and 1866

Guys, big question:

If you guys happened to have your parents win the lottery, what build would you pull together?

If your parents won the lottery you have to buy the entire forums a computer.
