You should get windows 8.1 too

Oh damn, one of those computers. If i recall correctly, that's used to direct the air from the cpu cooler out to the front. Its awful, but we have them in some of our computers here.
should I take it off

ok that's actually what the gpu is and it's integrated, long story short it sucks too bad for 7
thanks for the help though, I'll just go use ubuntu for the time being
as for my previous previous computer error, I think it may be an overheated gpu

YES
when I got it at first I was afraid it would be too different but once I started using it I loved it. it didn't even take a whole day. the start menu is way better than the old ones. and the whole OS looks great too. I really don't understand what it is people hate about it

absolutely right

Most of the people who say windows 8.1 is bad haven't really even used it, probably.

I want to upgrade my RAM to 8 gigs and get a new case for Christmas.

I want either the NZXT H440 or Phanteks Enthoo Pro.

I need some help here, the cpu fan in my case is dieing on me and I need a new one quick.

The cpu is an AMD FX 6100 6 core processor, This is the current fan right now, I've been using the stock fan and heatsink that came with the cpu. Would this arctic freezer fan be good as a replacement?

I have this

it's nice. pecon showed it to me

oh you just want the fan ok

wait that arctic freezer thing is the whole cooler. what are you looking for??

But remember it has no drive bays. Though in this day and age that shouldn't matter. But if you are old school you will miss em

Yea my school offers Windows 8.1 pro for $9 so I have it on both my laptops and just out it on that old vista PC I found.

oh

that's unfortunately a deal breaker for me. I have a game and school that both require disk drives. :(

get an external one
I could, but that's extra money I don't want to spend, plus I just bought the current ODD.

Also, I use it at least once a day, and I used my dad's external one and it was a bit of a hassle.

Here is what im talking about

This is an old (2006) computer we have. Its not exactly what I thought, but this is what i mean. The black thing moves the air to the front case holes, which you can kinda see.

Also, the video card is a 6 or 7 series nvidia card. not sure which exact one, but its old.
2 200 GB HDDs, 2 (or 4) gb of ram

will sell for $1000 obo

OK NZXT makes the most gorgeous cases. I might just get this one, the S340 and use the extra money to get an external disc drive.

This case pushes almost all the right buttons for me. HDD and PSU cover, window, simple, clean looks amazing. Only thing it's missing is the 5.25" bays. >:(
