The case should be treated like your PSU and mobo. You may think you can cheap out on them, but you may find that its a fatal mistake.

Alright then, use wood. Picks up less static than the cardboard and is still relatively cheap. I don't know why you should waste $60 USD on a metal prism.

Because it looks like stuff

Next question.

EDIT: Also, most "metal prisms" have cable management, already have the standoffs in place, places for fans, a secure place for both front and back IO, secure places for all drives, PSU, and other.  Sure, you can make a wood case, but it would take a stuff ton of time and might not even look good if you dont take the time to sand it and stain it.

I can see a wood case being amazing, but youll spend a bit of money and time and takes skill to do.

And you get the feeling of having acomplished something glorious before sitting on your ass in the chair and do absolutely nothing productive for the rest of your life.

So Radeon cards are a no-go. Got it.

Yea okay hipster, enjoy your cardboard while everyone else enjoys their beautiful premium case.

Could it be maybe you just don't have as much money as others... Not trying to be a richard but some people can afford a nice case without going broke.

Well by that logic then you might as well find a twenty dollar processor and use the other 200 bucks on a shiny leather coat.

Which is another reason why we need equality. Communism must be the economical model for the world.

If that twenty dollar processor is worth it, hell yeah!
