So my boss put me up to the task of choosing the parts for a ~$6,000 editing rig. I could have some real fun with this.

One of the few time where more than 16gb of ram is needed. Also one of the few times when Titans might be needed.

as my friend who knows the bare minimum about computer parts: "get the titan!"
(joke)

Alright then, use wood. Picks up less static than the cardboard and is still relatively cheap. I don't know why you should waste $60 USD on a metal prism.
welcome back

was going to post that :/
I like AMD but jesus christ that's creative

I guess Newegg or practically any other major website have quit selling the Titan. I'll probably have to go with a reference cooler 980 or Quadro K4200
Somebody find me a liquid cooler compatible with an LGA 2011-3 socket.

Bump

How are these parts (build is around $300):
AMD FX-6300
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+

Sapphire Radeon R7 265 2GB OR
GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB

I heard the R7 performs just a little bit better than the 750 Ti, is that correct?

I'd go for the nvidia card even if the other one is slightly better

aren't some games built towards running on nvidia cards more too?

I wouldn't go that far.

they almost all are. not really needing new stuff.
