[MEGATHREAD] Personal Computer - Updated builds thanks to Logical Increments

Guys, I think the planning phase of my next build is beginning to come to a close. I might go with either A.) a GTX 970 or B.) a GTX 770 for the GPU, haven't managed to update the list yet. I've decided to use the Corsair AIR 540 (black) as my next case, maybe give some of the parts on it a custom paint job.

I went ahead and stepped down the PSU voltage a bit, down to a nice 650W fully-modular PSU from EVGA. I might switch out the HDD as I've heard some pretty negative stuff from Seagate's Barracuda lineup.

I'm OK with the CPU, but I'm unsure about the mobo. It looks nice, but when it comes to motherboards I can't find any performance differences. As for the CPU Cooler, I'm just going to use the H90 I have in my current build and put the old stock cooler in my old rig.

Get the 970, go with this motherboard; http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-z97g45gaming. It's not too much more expensive than the one you currently have in there but it does have far better reviews across the board

my god, those lights will give me nightmares. I've got every single one disconnected on my PC, including power and HDD lights. They are the work of evil and need to be gone.

This is beautiful. If you have RGB leds, try making a violet. It would look very nice.

i only have a blue led on my 120mm case fan. it's the only led i need.

What powers them? If it's a molex then you can buy adaptors to down-volt the current and "dim" the LED's
