okay now crossfire or wait a year and upgrade and tell me that PSU will do the job
Yes it will, because
1. his motherboard doesn't support SLI, not to mention just replacing the graphics card is more sensible than hunting down a matching 960 in three years.
2. even if he switches to a more powerful GPU in the future it'll likely not use much more power than the 960 he'll have, and as I said he still has power to spare.
Either way, a 500W Corsair CX wouldn't be an upgrade over the 450W XFX; the XFX has either the same or more power on the 12V rail, better parts quality, higher specified operating temps (30°C vs 50°C) and a longer warranty.

Wait, so XFX is just the company right? It has nothing to do with ATX?

Yeah, they're just a company like Corsair and EVGA.

Ok thanks. My dad would like to know whether fans cool the air coming in, or blow the hot hair out.

both
you should have an intake fan and exhaust fan
one in the front for cool air and one in the back for the hot air

I heard these are good?

Clicky
they're ok. If you can afford it I'd get a better one.

I've been meaning to replace my keyboard or some time now, how is the G910?

It's loving wonderful.  The only complaint I have is that the media keys sometimes have a weird issue where it takes a press or two or a longer press to get it to go to another song but play and pause has no issues.

On the otherside, I am probably calling my Surface pro officially dead, it has stopped being able to properly read it's memory and cannot run any version of windows properly let alone install it without crashing horribly.  Might be time to look into a 2 in 1 device or something.

It was a refurb.

Surface 3 or bust!

When I was choosing out a laptop last year I didn't really want something like the Surface, so I went with the ASUS Q501LA. That plus I was gonna be installing Linux on it anyway and it'd be odd to get a Surface and put Linux on it

But I do love my laptop, and it does have a touchscreen if I want to use it.

To be honest, I may or may not have dropped it at some point and it landed on it's back with no physical damage.  That 'may' have something to do with it, but it's not a huge deal, I can just use it as a reason to buy like a Yoga Pro 2

SOS I am 100-200 over budget, and I am sad I wasn't able to fit in any keyboards or mice (they can wait until my birthday I guess).

I must retrieve information on what I need to do. Many thanks to Jasa for a stuff ton of help.
