brethren. :  )
What?
Either way im only going to get the R9 because my budget was p tight and already went over it.
Right now the price of the build went 50 bucks lower.
If I had money to spare I was going to be the nvidya fanboy and get the GTX

Still room for improvement and keeping it or arround $700?
The last changes I did was getting a motherboard with 2 PCI-16 slots to get 2 gpu's in the future and a compatible one with i7's. Also changed the color of my ram to red, was cheaper tho.
And I can also get a PCI SSD on that mb :^).

I had to dissasemble my laptop to remove dust from the fan wich I do once a year but usually let a professional do it. This time I decided to save 50 bucks and do it myself. It was p easy tbh I only had to remove the back, unscrew the heatsinks on my cpu and gpu and remove the fan.
While I was at it my sister asked me to do hers and holy stuff her laptop was a bitch. It had a loving million screws on the back because 8 or sk wasnt enough apperently. And then remove the whole loving keyboars, touchpad and I forgeted up doing that because I broke the locking mechanism and the wire wont stay in place now (some tape fixed it anyways now). Than remove the loving HDD amd finally the motherboard because the heat sinks n stuff faced down. Finally got to clean it and holy stuff it was dustier than de_dust 2. Assembling back was a pain tho but it turned out well and nothing became a victim of static.

Not always. Mine didn't come with paste.

all stock coolers packaged with the cpu come with thermal paste pre-applied, you would have had to have bought an aftermarket cooler

Oh really?
Wow k
Ill buy one later than if I really need too. They're 5 bucks anyways.

No, I got an intel i5 4670 and it came without paste. Both the stock cooler and the CPU were in the packaging but neither had paste nor was there a small tube with it.

manufacturer error, you could have sent it back

pfft for some thermal paste that I could get for $20 pesos? lol, totally not worth the wait.

not all thermal paste is made equal. my aftermarket cooler came with thermal paste but i used my own. there's nothing wrong with using your own thermal paste, it's not that expensive

manufacturer error, you could have sent it back
why would you sent a whole cpu back just for missing thermal paste when you can apply it yourself in a few minutes?

Whats a good SSD size for windows, a few games (like csgo or space engineers. 10Gb/game tops) and recording?
Whas thinking of 480Gb or something. Should be plenty.
