yeah but this was limiting how dark my display could go which made everything really low-contrast

Okay so i tried to connect my stuff from my build in fan controller but what the forget is this?
So I tried to plug in my case fan into the connecter thing from my fan controller and the molex into the fan controller wich goes into the molex from the PSU.
Im not sure if it worker but when I put my thing on 'Low' my system shut down.
What the forget? Help.

Even so, HDMI should have a pretty wide range of color grade.  In any case you can just either play with your monitor settings or play with color settings in Nvidia Control Panel.

I feel like an starfish having two spare dvi cables and one hdmi to dvi cable.

Then again I got them at a thrift store brand new for 4 bucks.

I have one monitor connected via DVI and a headset via HDMI. I have tons of VGA cables laying around that I use to experiment with my old PCs.
