Chrome eats RAM a bit, but it's lighting quick (Internets may vary) and it has a clean design

i'd go with chrome, as far as i know chrome has more support in the HTML5 and CSS3 department

Loathed Firefox since 2009.
Went down the plughole imo. Became really laggy and freezy on any computer I used it on. Then the Mac version started to really lag whenever handling dynamic content and Flash content. Ugh.
Today it hasn't changed. Waiii Firefox Waiii.

chromium, basically a barebones edition of chrome, already barebones, and using a stable rec. version, you ought to get great performance.
